In order to maintain a safe environment and avoid dust accumulation, centralized high vacuum extraction on portable tools is a very effective solution.
The aim of this system is to protect operators and eliminate the risk of fire or explosion by the aspiration of the dust from the various operations.
A high local exhaust system ( LEV) on portable tools (sanders, grinders, drills, etc.) captures pollutants at the source as they are emitted.
The machines are equipped with suitable collection points through which the dust emitted during the various operations is sucked up, without disturbing the operator's work.
The suction power is defined according to your equipment and workstations, and the desired simultaneity, using specific calculation software. The various measurements obtained allow the vacuum power required for optimal dust collection to be defined.
Dust collection from portable machines requires a centralised high vacuum extraction system with different characteristics to that for fixed machines; when connecting portable tools to an extraction system, the flow rates are generally lower and the pressure drops much higher, hence the use of a vacuum pump or other depressor and a circular dust collector.
The type of machines connected, their location in the workshop and their number in simultaneous operation are all elements that must be taken into account when designing the network. The suction system can be controlled automatically with a machine start-up control.
On the one hand, portable machines are equipped with collection devices that are connected to the central extraction system via hoses. On the other side, the system is connected to a dust collector.
The extracted polluted air is compensated with fresh air.
